At St Mary’s we offer an exciting and dynamic curriculum delivered through teaching within the school, through visiting professionals and workshops, and through our many visits to the local community and beyond. In addition we offer enrichment opportunities across the key stages providing creative and challenging activities.

Writers from Year 3 to 6 are encouraged to enter this annual competition writing a short story or poem, culminating in a grand awards ceremony at The Exchange Theatre, Twickenham in the spring term. We are delighted that for the second year running one of our pupils is the Richmond Junior Laureate.

Rotary Club Writing and Photography competitions
Through our close community links with the Rotary Club our children are invited to participate in their Young Photographer and Young Writer competitions. The school has been very successful in both categories over the years.

Links with local secondary schools offer opportunities for enrichment for example this year a group of year 6 children went to a Maths workshop at Radnor House school.

NPL Science Filming competition
Since 2007 St Mary’s has entered films into this competition and had nominations and achieved awards in several different categories.
