Bude 2026 Prize Winners

Tonight’s prize winners, as nominated and chosen by the instructors at Adventure Bude, included the golden ticket ( randomly chosen), the bottle award ( for those who had overcome fear or grown in confidence), the joker award ( for those who entertained us this week), and the superstar award ( for all round superstars). A huge congratulations also to group D who won the team of the week. We are proud of all our children who have shown great friendship and endurance this week, and have achieved so much!

Bude Day 4

We woke to dramatic skies and set off on our final run / swim. Those who chose to run, were treated to a jog across the beach whilst the sea pool offered a peaceful dip to start the day. Some children tried mountain boarding for the first time today - many avid skateboarders showed off their skills, whizzing down the hill at high speed. Others were more cautious, but everyone had a go. Endurance was the theme of the day from Donna’s reflection last night and this was tested yet again as we pushed, pulled and heaved our wetsuits on. Although [...]

Day 3 Bude

Another action-packed day in Bude! Jumping out of bed at the sound of the morning alarm, we rushed down for our run or to the sea pool with excitement soaring through us.  For many, dipping our toes in was enough but a few brave cadets lunged into the fresh sea water - wonderfully warm after the tropical summer.  After delicious fresh croissants and pain au chocolates, we headed out for our groups.  They showed some impressive paddling skills in the canoes with everyone throwing themselves into the activities - quite literally in some cases! After a thought-provoking reflection with Donna last [...]

Bude Day 2

First day of activities and we were treated to glorious sunshine and mostly blue skies. We started the day with a refreshing run, followed by a hearty cooked breakfast. The groups headed out to their activities with gusto and perhaps a spot of trepidation. Fears were soon overcome as the children threw themselves into surfing, high ropes and climbing. We were thrilled to see the children supporting each other by cheering on their teams when knees looked a bit wobbly on the high ropes.  The waves crashed in on the surfers and some even managed to stand up on their boards. [...]

Bude 2026

Year 6 are very excited to be going to Bude next week. Please check the kit list carefully, send in any agreed medication, ensure all items are labelled and your child knows where everything is packed. Not long now! 😃

Party like there’s no tomorrow

As so the last evening of fun at Adventure Bude. Everyone convened in the large marquee for Final Presentation night. Each group met with their instructor for the week and shared their highlights and reflected on how much they had grown, overcome fears, tried new things and developed as a team member. Then the festivities began with games and races in groups, from solving puzzles to tieing up other instructors. After the races were done, it was time for Just Dance. Parents, I'm sure you are all familiar with Just Dance but I promise you there is nothing quite so funny [...]
