There were no early wake-ups this morning. Instead, it was the adults waking up sleeping bodies hiding in their bunks. But the world waits for no man, they say, and so morning runs and swims went ahead as normal. Today, the runners were challenged to find interesting articles along their beach run.

Yesterday’s theme was positivity. Today, an entirely original phrase focusing on relishing every moment at this amazing place: I’m lovin’ it. Whenever an adult asks how the children are doing or feeling, they must sing back (to the tune of a familiar fast food jingle) those words. We want to enjoy every moment while we are here.
And today was a time for final activities to be enjoyed in he pleasingly warm, dry and less windy conditions.

These activities wouldn’t have been so much fun, such a success, without the incredible teamwork our children have shown. Our world is experiencing so many problems right now and the only way to solve them is through teamwork and compassion. We have a birthday boy with us today; his dorm pitched together to give him money to buy himself a present from he tuck shop. There it is: working together, thinking of how others are feeling, and making our world a better place. Wow! With these children being our world’s future, we needn’t be too worried.

More to come later…
