Post afternoon activities, showers were both deserved and enjoyed by most and made mandatory for others (yes, boys) dodging good hygiene. The dry room now has a pungent aroma to it that either requires a deep breath on entry or a gas mask. The dorm hallway has been decorated with clothes that every child swears is not their’s despite us being the only guests here. It’s a good thing we are only here for one week! 😉
After another delicious dinner, including a heated debate on the adults’ table over the difference between a chicken goujon and nugget, it was talent show night and a football tournament – take your fancy. There’s a lot of talent in this group for sure:

Post talent show, a very tired group sat down for Part Two of the story of Ralph, the Amazonian chunga bunga, who has now acquired two friends: a sloth with an Australian accent and a koala with a Northern Irish twang. Will the little chunga bunga make it back to his home? Will he find out what happened to his father? We wait for the final part tomorrow to answer these, and many more, burning questions.
Our word of the day was POSITIVITY. Donna led a truly touching session where each adult chose one person who had stood out today for showing that quality. It was heart-warming to hear of children, and one staff member, who had made the day brighter for others with their eternal smiles, happiness, politeness, generosity and compassion.
After a meditation where we continued the theme of ‘noticing’ but today on how our body is feeling, we have turned in for another night.
We miss you all lots at home but we also don’t want this fun to end.
