The SMF was set up in 2016 as a voluntary fund for parents who wish to contribute monthly or give one-off donations to help the school reduce its budget deficit caused by continued underfunding by government.

St. Mary’s Primary School is currently underfunded by up to £100K each academic year. We are therefore reaching out to the families of our school community for help – at St. Mary’s we have over 400 families and if every family contributed £15 per month that would mean £72,000 raised for the school, £25 a month would raise an incredible £120,000!

To make donations to the SMF, please contact sminty@st-marys.richmond.sch.uk for the SMF bank details. When setting up a standing order, please use the reference “SMF” and your child’s surname. Please note this is a different account to the one we use for FoSM event transfers.

The SMF is managed via FoSM, and therefore as a registered charity (Charity Commission Registered Number: 1026779) FoSM can claim Gift Aid on the SMF donations. If you are a UK taxpayer, we can boost all donations by an incredible 25%! Should that be applicable to you, we would be extremely appreciative if you could complete the Gift Aid form on this page and return it to Simon Minty via any of the school offices or send via email to sminty@st-marys.richmond.sch.uk.
