Wednesday evening was a chance to show off to the centre staff the abundance of talent St Mary’s School children have on offer. There was a buzz of excitement in the air as children (groups and individuals) practised outside – the stars beginning to glow in the darkening sky.

Then, the show began. The audience sat in anticipation waiting to see what delights they would digest. They were not disappointed: singing, dancing, comedy, The David Show, piano playing – they had it all.

Today the children’s bravery was tested to the max: jumping to a trapeze from 30 feet, climbing a wall in gale force winds and shooting down a hill on a snowboard with wheels; but, I think performing on stage takes another kind of bravery that we all wish we had so well done to all who took part…even if some acts needed further ‘refining’. A special mention to the winner, Daya, for her creative performance.

One more day of activities to go. We are all having the time of our lives. Good night all.
