Uniform

All St Mary’s CE Primary School, children are expected to wear the school uniform. Our goal is for our children to feel included, proud to wear their uniform and smartly represent St Mary’s at all times. For a comprehensive list of our uniform expectations, please look in the St Mary’s Handbook on this page or at our Uniform Policy on our School Polices page.

To maintain consistency across the uniform the majority of the items are available to buy through our two local suppliers. Please check their websites for how to purchase online or in store:

Stevensons – 1 – 15 Heath Road, TW1 4DB / Tel: 020 88922201 www.stevensons.co.uk

Our parent’s association, FoSM, run Second-Hand uniform sales during the school year. The first one will take place for our new Reception parents on Monday 1st July when you come in for ‘Moving Up’ morning.

Tapestry

In Reception we use an observation system called ‘Tapestry’. This is a secure online system which allows teachers to keep record of and assess your child’s work and achievements in a ‘journal’. Tapestry is an integral part of your child’s time in Reception, and a key requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage profile is parental involvement. Please see our Tapestry User Agreement for you to sign and return to us in the Admissions Documents section above.

We will provide you with further information once your child has started and, for now, please to look on the Tapestry website: https://tapestry.info/parents-carers.html

School Meals

Our school meals are prepared and served by Caterlink and free of charge for all children in the school. Further information from Caterlink can be found here – Caterlink welcome flyer

If your child has any allergies or medical dietary requirements, you may be required to complete a form to apply for a Special Menu. Please see here: Caterlink Special Meal Form

At lunchtime, children can either have a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home. Full details about meals and our Healthy Eating Policy can be found here:

FOSM – Friends of St Mary’s

Friends of St Mary’s (FoSM) is our school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and a registered charity and an important part of the St Mary’s community. They provide an opportunity for all parents and teachers to work together towards raising funds for our school in a fun and sociable way! https://st-marys.richmond.sch.uk/fosm-home/

Connect with other parents: FoSM uses an app called CLASSLIST https://classlist.com/ for communications amongst parents. It enables parents at our school to connect with each other and stay in the loop about what’s happening at St. Mary’s. Classlist is fully GDPR compliant and is the only way that parent contact information can be shared. We encourage you to get involved and start connecting with our St Mary’s parents by downloading the app and signing up to join the group called ‘NEW RECEPTION 2024-25’ and your child’s 2024/25 class. You do this by completing this form: https://classlist.page.link/LUFxL27DMNMAwxv8A
